If we’re concerned with more than just getting burned, we look for a broad spectrum sunscreen.

It has been said that every time you spray your child with oxybenzone, it’s the equivalent of putting a birth control patch on your child.
Hawaii, Palau, and most recently, Key West, Florida have already banned oxybenzone. In 2019, Florida, Virginia, many more states, and countries around the globe will ban oxybenzone, including China, Spain, and any country with enough political willpower to do it.
Since 1999, reports have steadily been coming out detailing the toxic effects of oxybenzone. These effects are undisputed and universally present.
This is a massive human health crisis.
From the reading of Hawaii’s Senate Bill SB 2571,
“As it relates to human health, these chemicals [oxybenzone & octinoxate] are linked to:
Causing breast cancer to become more aggressive
Polluting breast milk
Causing Hirschprung deformity in newborns and
Associated with women’s uterine diseases
Threaten male sexual health and
Can damage DNA.
There’s evidence that oxybenzone is even showing up in our aquifers in our drinking water.”
In fact, oxybenzone cannot be removed by waste water treatment plants, so it is constantly being put back into our waterways.
